[On the morning of the 25th, wherever the hell Melan's staying, there is a nicely wrapped package, with a written letter tucked in at the top, next to a large ribbon.
Inside his present though is a drawing of Melan and Papyrus together, having a grand old time. The drawing is… semi-decent. Also, there's a bowl of spaghetti. Said spaghetti is likely cold by now. Sorry.
Opening the letter reveals a maybe somewhat familiar font, which says:]

HELLO!! I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT CHRISTMAS IS, BUT IT'S A HOLIDAY MONSTERS (AND APPARENTLY HUMANS????) CELEBRATE WHERE EVERYONE GIVES EACH OTHER GIFTS IN HONOR OF BEING THEIR FRIEND. AT FIRST I WAS GOING TO TRY AND GET YOU A HAT BUT I REALIZED THERE PROBABLY AREN'T ANY BIG ENOUGH, SO I JUST DREW YOU A PICTURE OF YOU IN A HAT INSTEAD. SADLY, I AM NOT THE KIND OF MONSTER THAT CAN CRY TEARS INTO THE SHAPE OF A HAT FOR YOU. THAT WOULD BE GHOSTS.
